Obituary of Carole Himes

Carole (Jeffers) Himes, 74, a resident of Spring Mount for over 50 years, passed away at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery on May 5, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick L. Himes, Sr., who passed away November 17, 2013. Born February 8, 1941 in Audubon, she was a daughter of the late Gerald Edward and Pearl (Rosenberger) Jeffers. Mrs. Himes and her late husband operated Fred & Carole Himes Towing of Spring Mount for over 30 years. She was also a food service manager for Perkiomen Valley School District. She enjoyed bowling in leagues and traveling. She is survived by four children, Lynn Himes and her partner, Lucky Kraemer, of Perkiomenville, John Himes and his wife, Heather, of Boyertown, Patricia Specht and her husband, Matthew, of Walnuttown, and Michael Himes and his wife, Theresa, of Warren; a sister, Doris Lutz of Elverson; 16 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Frederick L. Himes, Jr.; a granddaughter, Madelyn; and four brothers, George Dennison, Paul Dennison, Gerald Jeffers, Jr., and Edward Jeffers. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 11AM on Friday, May 8, at the R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 3440 Skippack Pike at Cedars Rd., Skippack, where friends may call for the viewing from 9:30-10:45AM. Burial will follow at George Washington Memorial Park.
