Obituary of Thomas Patrick Mackin

Thomas Patrick Mackin, 73, a resident of Schwenksville, PA for the last 37 years, passed away Tuesday night, May 10, 2022. He and his wife Carol (Wondolowski) Mackin, celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary on March 30th of this year.

 

Born October 3, 1948 in Camden, NJ, he was a son of the late John and Rita (McGarry) Mackin. He was a 1967 graduate of Cherry Hill High School and earned his bachelor’s degree from Eastern College.

 

Throughout his life Mr. Mackin was employed in a wide range of fields before finding his calling in computer technology and system design/consulting. Before his retirement in 2000, he was President of the former Protech Systems. His hobbies included woodworking, golf, boating, and extensive travel.

 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter: Nicole Baker Mackin and her husband Cody Baker of Payson, AZ, Nicole’s children: Alicia and Ethan Zamora; two sons: Christopher Mackin, his wife Christine, and their daughter Sophia of Pottstown, PA, and Michael Mackin, his wife Michele, and their daughter Catherine of Sellersville, PA. He is also survived by three siblings: Richard Mackin of Pennsauken, NJ, Robert Mackin and his wife Zehra of Norwalk, CT, and Eileen Doherty and her husband Edward of Westmont, NJ. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Mackin.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service at 11am on Friday, May 27, 2022, at the R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 3440 Skippack Pike at Cedars Road, Skippack, PA, where family will receive attendees from 10-11am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to either of the following charities:

Autism Speaks
