Obituary of John N. Seeton, Sr.
John N. Seeton, Sr., 82, passed away at his residence in Lansdale, PA on Tuesday morning, March 22, 2022. He and his wife, EvaMarie (Dohse) Seeton, would have celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on August 13th of this year. They had formerly resided in Collegeville, PA, West Norriton, PA, and Norristown, PA.
Born August 18, 1939, in Norristown, PA, he was a son of the late Leonard T. and Thelma (Saylor) Seeton. He was a 1957 graduate of Eisenhower Senior High School in Norristown, PA. He was employed with the Philadelphia Electric Company from 1959-1995 and had formerly been employed with American Stores and American Pacific Tea Company.
Mr. Seeton was a member of Christ U.C.C. Church of Norristown, PA, where he served as an usher, greeter, deacon and trustee. A 32nd degree mason with the Valley of Reading, he was a member of Norristown Lodge #620 Free & Accepted Masons, where he served as Worshipful Master in 2010. He was also a member of Valley Forge High Twelve Club #305 where he served as treasurer and president. He was a former member of the Norristown Junior Chamber of Commerce. Some of his hobbies included following NASCAR and collecting coins.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, John N. Seeton, Jr. of Harleysville, PA, and Mark J. Seeton and his wife, Caroline, of Pittsburgh, PA; and five grandchildren, Lauren (Landon), Alexa (Chad), Heather (Manny), Adam and Allison and great-grandson Kason. He is also survived by a brother, James D. Seeton (Sally) of Furlong, PA; and a sister, Gail L. Watts of Lansdale, PA. He was preceded in death by three brothers, C. Robert, Donald W. and Leonard T. Seeton; and a daughter-in-law, Eileen M. Seeton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at 11am on Friday, April 8, 2022, at the R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 3440 Skippack Pike, Skippack, PA, where family will receive friends from 10-10:45am. Interment will be private.
