Joseph Biddy

Obituary of Joseph M. Biddy

Joseph M. Biddy, 75, a resident of Schwenksville, PA for over 50 years, passed away on Thursday morning, March 3rd, 2022, at home. He was the husband of the late Catherine (Hripto) Biddy who passed away on April 27th of last year. They had been married for 54 years at the time of her passing.

Born July 23, 1946, in Norristown, he was a son of the late Joseph and Lana Mae (McGee) Biddy.

Joe had a long career as a highly skilled welder, retiring in 2017. He was a sports enthusiast who played softball for Rossi’s Bar in Bridgeport, PA.  He enjoyed camping every Labor Day with his family and softball friends.  Joe’s summer time parties were known for horseshoes, friendly poker games, and plenty of fireworks.

Joe was a dedicated family man.  He was Godfather to one niece and one nephew and proud grandfather to Kyle.  Joe eagerly attended all of Kyle’s baseball games from T-ball through high school.  Joe also spent many hours hunting and fishing with Kyle.  They always had a story to tell after each venture.

No matter the time or place, you could find Joe with a cigarette and a Pepsi.  Joe would never say “Good bye”.  Instead, he would say “Don’t take any wooden nickels”.

Surviving are two daughters, Wendy Bohannon and her husband, Rich, of Perkiomenville, PA, and Jennifer Biddy of Schwenksville, PA; and a grandson, Kyle Bohannon. He is also survived by brothers, William Biddy and James Biddy; and a sister, Alma Leib.
