Obituary of Beverly Jane Fierro

Beverly Jane (Houghton) Fierro, 81, formerly of Blue Bell, passed away at home on Sunday, February 13, 2022, in Newark, DE. She was the loving wife of Ramon “Ray” Fierro to whom she was married for over 57 years.

Born July 25, 1940, in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late James and Amelia (String) Houghton. Beverly “Bev” Fierro graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1958 and Gwynedd Mercy College in 1960. She was a member of the Pi Epsilon Phi sorority.

Beverly was employed at General Electric after graduation but transitioned to working at several elementary schools. Bev loved caring for children. She worked and lived at Oak Lane Day School for most of her life.   Bev also spent a few years working for her friends at Stages of Design Advertising Company. Her hobbies included reading, sewing, and crafting with her friends.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Amy Fierro and her husband, Dominic Fesi, of Newark, DE; her grandchildren, Nyair Fierro and Charles Brownlow; her nieces, Susan Maron and Sandra Stieffenhofer; her nephew, Warren Stieffenhofer; her grandnephew Jason Maron; and her grandniece, Kerrie Maron.  She was predeceased by her sisters, Marie and Carol.

The family will receive visitors beginning at 10 AM, followed immediately by an 11 AM service on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at the R. L.
