Obituary of Helen K. Papciak

Helen K. (Schneider) Papciak, 93, formerly of Fairview Village, PA, passed away Sunday night, January 30, 2022, at her residence in Skippack Township, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Papciak, on January 30, 1986.

 

Born December 28, 1928, in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late Christian and Agnes (Haas) Schneider, who had immigrated from Talheim, Germany. She was a graduate of Temple High School in Philadelphia, PA, and worked for her parents at Schneider’s Bakery on Chelten Avenue in Philadelphia, PA.  She was especially gifted in the art of cake decorating. Later in life, she decorated all 5 of the nieces/nephews wedding cakes.  After her parents retired, she worked for many years at James G. Biddle Company of Blue Bell, PA, until her retirement.

 

Mrs. Papciak was a long-time member of the ministry of Fellowship Deaconry of Wyoming Avenue, Philadelphia, PA. It was through this ministry that Helen trusted Christ as her personal Savior.  She more recently attended Limerick Chapel, in Limerick PA until she was physically unable to attend.

 

Surviving are two sisters, Elsie A. Drummer and Claire B. Schlenker. Helen was preceded in death by her two brothers-in-law, William (Hans) Drummer and Rev. Roland E. Schlenker.  She was also dearly loved by her five nieces and nephews, Diane (Dwight) Kloth, William (Joan) Drummer, Jr., Steven (Laura) Schlenker, Peter (Kathleen) Schlenker, and Lorinda (Andrew) Keener. She cherished time with her 16 grand nieces and nephews and three great-grand niece and nephews.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 10:30am on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 3440 Skippack Pike at Cedars Road, Skippack, PA, where family will receive friends beginning at 10am. Burial will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Plymouth Meeting, PA. For those desiring, contributions may be made in her memory to Wycliffe Bible Translators, P. O.
