Praying for you Julie. Bob was a beautiful soul! We found some pics from the hilarious bike adventure on the Mississippi River crossing when the River Cat boat broke down!

Bob worked as our computer operator / tech support person at Western Area Power Administration in Montrose, Colorado, back in the 90's. He was one of the most positive people I had ever met, and always lightened even the most stressful situations with his sense of humor.
He was also very compulsive about keeping things in order - his favorite tool was our fancy label maker, and the joke was that he even put a label on the label maker, just in case we forgot.
Bob was also a real craftsman, and was always helping others out with their home remodeling projects. He taught me how to install drywall and pour concrete.
I'm really sad that Bob is gone now, he really brought a lot of happiness and peace into the world.

Dear Roddy and the entire de Vitry Clan,
I was saddened and shocked to learn of Bob’s passing via the Bainbridge Brats FB Page. I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Bob so well from growing up in Bainbridge. I am thankful that I was able to greet him after so many years at one of the August get-togethers at Koser Park down by the River. Please allow me to express my most sincere condolences to all of you as well as Bob’s family and friends. You are all in my thoughts and prayers that GOD’S abiding presence might comfort you at this time. May I share some Words of Comfort that have been especially meaningful to me at times like this? … GOD in love has promised grace for every trial, strength for every sorrow, help for every mile, and may GOD in sympathy and unfailing love impart help for each tomorrow and new courage to your heart. … “Cast your burdens upon the LORD, and GOD shall sustain you; The LORD shall never allow the righteous to be moved” … “Cast all your cares upon GOD, for the LORD GOD cares for you.” (Psalm 55:22, 1st Peter 5:7) GOD be with you all.
Sincerely, Fred (Holler) [thehollerhole@comcast.net]

Bob was our first pastor in Montrose , Colorado at the “Barn Church! “ we joined Bob to be “the worship team” and that was the beginning of a dear family friendship. What a teacher! He had such wisdom and knowledge and a great way of sharing. Bob was so real, very deeply spiritual but never trying to be anything other than one who loved Father and loved others. We had so much fun camping with all of our girls (including Beaker), playing music (even though Bob got lost and went to the wrong town), hours of talking, laughing, talking and more talking.

Bob was well loved in Montrose. He was known to many as a giver and encourager, especially to our family. More than willing to lend a hand or an ear and be there through tough times.
We had many great times with our families camping, hiking and playing Rummy Q. I have fond memories of our friday morning music recordings, drinking coffee and recording our original tunes in our music room He is still the best "slurpee" guitar player I've ever heard!
Love you Bob! Thanks for the enrichment you added to my life!!
