Elsie (Ott) Battaglia, 88, a long-time resident of Schwenksville, PA, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Pottstown Hospital.
Born August 4, 1933, in Schwenksville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Christopher and Lydia (Updegrove) Ott. She was a life-long member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She volunteered many hours at the church’s community center in Fairview Village, PA.
Ms. Battaglia was employed for over 35 years with Victoria Leather of Harleysville, PA, from where she retired when she was 80 years old. She had formerly worked at Collegeville Flag, Collegeville Diner and Antoinette’s Frozen Foods of Harleysville, PA.
Surviving are three children, Steven Musselman and his wife, Sandra, of Conway, NC, Theresa Semon of Schwenksville, PA, and Dennis Battaglia of Schwenksville, PA; two siblings, Christopher “Sonny” Ott and Gabriel Ott; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her significant other of over 45 years, Albert Rojinsky; brothers, Carl, Cleveland, Samuel, and Rodger Ott; and sisters, Clara Galambos, Ruth Hemminghaus, Rosena Wilde and Sara Hoffman.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 11am on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 3440 Skippack Pike at Cedars Road, Skippack, PA, where the family will receive friends for the viewing from 10-11am. In consideration of health concerns during the current health crisis, the family respectfully requests the attendance of guests be over the age of 18 years old to protect the well-being of the elderly in attendance. Also, please wear a mask. Entombment will be private at Limerick Garden of Memories.
