Obituary of Glen McGinley
Glen R. McGinley, 62, of Collegeville, passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Diane (Wanamaker) McGinley to whom he was married for over 35 years. Born August 5, 1959, in Norristown, PA, he was the son of Jeanette (Estock) McGinley and the late Robert McGinley.
Glen was a proud graduate and star football player of Perkiomen Valley High School (class of 1977). Glen was a successful and self-motivated hardworking entrepreneur who always went the extra mile and would selflessly even give a struggling stranger the shirt off his back. Glen enjoyed music, grilling, and coached both his boys in numerous sports over the years. As well as being a dedicated husband and father, he was also a dedicated friend and bassist for “The Roadies” for over 30 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Shane McGinley and his wife, Meaghan, of Collegeville, and Ross McGinley and his wife, Patrycja, of Philadelphia; his brothers, Richard McGinley and Robert McGinley, Jr.; and his granddaughter, Maeve McGinley.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at 11 AM on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at the R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 3440 Skippack Pike Skippack, PA, where friends may greet the family from 9:30-10:45 AM.
