Obituary of Henry A. Miller

Henry A. Miller, 80, formerly of Collegeville, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at Elm Terrace in Lansdale. He was the beloved husband of Sandra (Yeakel) Miller, to whom he was married for over 56 years.

Born January 10, 1941, in Astoria, Queens, NY, he was a son of the late George and Rose (Bachman) Miller. Mr. Miller received his Bachelor's degree from Temple University and his Masters’ in Education from the former Beaver College. After college, he was employed as an English teacher for the Colonial School District for over 30 years, where he coached football and girls volleyball. He also worked as a bartender at the Westover Country Club, Swetz and Jeitlinger Publishers, and the former Salter's Ski Shop as a sales associate.

Mr. Miller was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fairview Village. He was a part of the new member team and usher team and attended many of the church's mission trips. Mr. Miller enjoyed hunting, golfing, cooking, reading, and loved fishing, especially with his grandchildren. He made friends everywhere he went and was always involved in some sort of shenanigans.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Tammy Strempel and her husband, Joseph, Jr., of Collegeville, and Drew Miller and his wife, Kimberly, of Collegeville; his brother, Ronald Miller; and his grandchildren, Joseph, Cole, Aidan, and Ryleigh.

Mr. Miller was predeceased by his siblings, Jerome Miller, Emma Mackinson, Eva Forgash, George Miller, Jr., Larry Miller, and Peter Miller.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation from 6-9 PM on Friday, March 19, 2021, at the R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 3440 Skippack Pike at Cedars Rd. Skippack, PA 19474. Guests must wear a mask and follow all current social distancing regulations. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Trinity Lutheran Church, P. O.
