Obituary of James Williams

James Barry Williams, 49, a resident of Collegeville, PA for the last 17 years passed away February 10, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 20 years Caryn (Coates) Williams, and their two children AJ (19) and Ella (15) Williams.


Born February 25, 1971, in Norristown, PA, he was the oldest of three sons born to Barry Williams of Ambler, PA, and the late Jean E. (Chura) Williams. He grew up in Harleysville, PA, and was a 1989 graduate of Souderton Area High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Scranton in 1993, and his MBA from St. Joseph’s University in 2001.  Mr. Williams was employed with Loan Depot as Vice President of Underwriting.


Jim was a member of St. Eleanor Catholic Church in Collegeville, PA, where he served on the C.Y.O Board and coached both soccer and basketball. He enjoyed time on the beach in Brigantine, NJ, and was a fan of Jimmy Buffet. He was a devoted father and was happiest when spending time with his children, family, and friends.


Jim is also survived by two brothers, Jeff Williams and his wife, Kathleen, and their children, Connor and Nola, of Flourtown, PA, and Mark Williams and his wife, Christine, and their children, Mason and Lilly, of Glenside, PA.


Close friends and relatives are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at St. Eleanor Catholic Church, 647 Locust Street, Collegeville, PA. Please be seated by 10:50am for words of remembrance. Mass will follow beginning at 11am. You may watch the service live by clicking HERE. In light of restrictions on public gatherings, please wear a mask and be prepared to practice social distancing. Burial will be private at St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont, PA.
