Obituary of Mae C. Veneziale

Mae C. (Pizzi) Veneziale, “Maria Domenica”, 90, a resident Lansdale, PA, passed away Tuesday night, January 5, 2021. For over 50 years, she was the wife of Carmen A. Veneziale, who passed away in 2004.

Born July 30, 1930, in South Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late Giovanni and Maria Domenica (Renzi) Pizzi. She was a graduate of South Philadelphia High School. She had been employed as an electronics inspector at Zenith.

Mrs. Veneziale was an active member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church since 1953. Mae was in the Mothers Club at the parish school, as well as at Lansdale Catholic High School. She volunteered with the Ladies Auxillary at the former North Penn Hospital. She was a member of St. Jude Novena Devotions in Chalfont, PA, was dedicated to the Shrine of St. Rita of Philadelphia, PA, and was a member of St. Michael’s Society in Philadelphia for many years. She loved Italian cooking, played on a bowling league, and enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening. One of her favorite pastimes was ballroom dancing with her husband, siblings and their spouses.

Surviving is a daughter, Donna M. Dwyer and her husband, Joseph P., Sr. of Blue Bell, PA; two sons, Carmen A. Veneziale, Jr. and his wife, Julie, of Quakertown, PA, and Stephen M. Veneziale and his wife, Karen, of Lansdale, PA; and five grandchildren, Joseph Dwyer, Jr., Stephen Dwyer, Tory Hetzel, Matthew Dwyer and Stephen Veneziale Jr. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Mae was well liked by everyone. She had a happy personality and was always wanting to be a part of family gatherings. Mae came from a family of seven children and she spoke of her family with many fun stories growing up. She was very proud of her Italian culture. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews .

Due to restrictions on public gatherings, a private viewing and funeral mass will be held for the immediate family followed by burial at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446. Arrangements are by the R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. of Skippack, PA.
