Mr. Bernard “Pi” Filmyer, 66, of Harleysville, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Grand View Hospital in Sellersville. He was the husband of Dawn (Sanna) Filmyer to whom he was married for 17 years.
Born May 29, 1954, in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Edward A. Filmyer, Jr. and Ruth H. (Stapelton) Filmyer.
Bernard loved being around his family, working in his garden, going fishing, barbequing on the grille, going to the auction, and looking at the stars. He enjoyed reading, especially National Geographic and The Farmers Almanac, and wouldn't miss his daily dose of Jeopardy. You could always find him during any holiday or event lighting off fireworks and sitting poolside sipping his cocktail.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Danielle Rapp of Collegeville, PA, Stephanie Butterfield and her husband, Jermey, of Clovis, CA, B. Alexander Filmyer of Harleysville, and Caroline Filmyer of Harleysville; his siblings, Ruth Ann Quigley, Michael Filmyer, and John Filmyer; and five grandchildren, Ethan, Aidan, Grayson, Mayzie, and Leanna.
He was predeceased by his brother, Edward A Filmyer III.
Services will be private for the family. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at the R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 3440 Skippack Pike, Skippack, PA 19474 from 9:30-11 am. We will be practicing social distancing and only allowing 10 people in the funeral home at one time due to current restrictions.
