Ruby A. Womack, 93, formerly of Collegeville, PA and Fort Wayne, IN, passed away in her sleep on Sunday morning, October 11, 2020, at Elm Terrace Gardens in Lansdale, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Lee Womack, in 1990.
Born March 4, 1927, in Chattaroy, WV, she was a daughter of the late John M. and Leonora (Alley) Savage. She was a 1946 graduate of Chattaroy High School.
Mrs. Womack served as a bookkeeper for Rogers Markets in Fort Wayne for 40 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of Lower Providence Presbyterian Church in Norristown, PA, and enjoyed sewing.
Surviving is a son, Larry Womack and his wife, Sue, of Collegeville, PA; two grandchildren, Emily Mason and her husband, Tim, of Spring City, PA, and Geoffrey Womack and his wife, Mallory, of Souderton, PA; and four great grandchildren, Shea and Hannah Mason, and Kaladin and Avery Womack. She is also survived by two brothers, Dave Savage of Rockford, IL, and Bill Savage of Ocala, FL.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters: Virginia, Lucy, Doris, Ed, Elmer, Jean, Don, Glen and Anna Lois.
In light of current restrictions on public gatherings, services will be private with interment in Eel River Cemetery in Churubusco, IN. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Lower Providence Presbyterian Church, 3050 West Ridge Pike, Norristown, PA 19403. Arrangements are by R. L.
