John J. Beccaria, 88 of Skippack, died on September 5, 2020. He was the husband of Katherine (Kontuly) Beccaria. They would have celebrated 59 years of marriage this month.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rosa (Spinardi) Beccaria. John served in the United States Army from 1953-1955. He received his degree in Mechanical Design from Pennsylvania State University. An avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan, John spent time attending Eagles games as a season ticket holder and visiting preseason training camps. John enjoyed many years of bowling and playing bocce. Gardening and landscaping were a favorite hobby. He enjoyed cheering on his grandchildren at various sporting events. John especially loved to travel and enjoyed many trips to places near and far. He treasured his many trips to one of his favorite places, Walt Disney World. Being members of the Disney Vacation Club provided the opportunity for the family to continue to create wonderful memories over the years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Karen Salamone and her husband Robert, Beth Happ and her husband Michael and Kristin Gamber and her husband Jason, five grandchildren, Megan, Audrey and Colin Happ and Morgan and Braeden Gamber.
He was preceded in death by two sisters Catherine Lalli and Theresa Connell.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM at St. Eleanor Catholic Church, 647 Locust Street, Collegeville, PA 19426. Interment will follow at Limerick Garden of Memories.
