Wilmer “Butch” Delp, 72, of Perkiomen Township, PA, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at his residence. He was the husband of the Late Sharon E. (Hood) Delp.
Born July 22, 1948, in Pottstown, he was a son of the late Wilmer D. and Frances E. (Frymoyer) Delp.
Mr. Delp served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Butch was a heavy equipment mechanic who was employed by Gill Quarries and then Glascow, Inc. until his retirement in 2009. He enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Phillies and NASCAR and completing jigsaw puzzles. He was a John Deere enthusiast and had owned several different tractors. He enjoyed spending time outdoors mowing the lawn and repairing lawn equipment.
Butch is survived by his children, Michelle Delp and her husband, Stephen Vodopija, of Perkiomen Twp., Kristy Delp of Perkiomen Twp. and Patrick Delp of Perkiomen Twp.; his siblings, Richard Delp (MaryJane), Barbara Wilkie ( Ron), Donna Dickey (Gary), Annett Dise, Jane Gerth (Andrew), and Janet Vishio (James); his two grandchildren Hayley and Katelyn Vodopija and many nieces and nephews.
