Myrtle M. (Beideman) Stehman, 96, a former long-time resident of Lower Providence Township, PA, passed away Saturday evening, June 13, 2020, at Frederick Living in Frederick, PA. She was the wife of the late Francis K. Stehman, who passed away in 1969.
Born August 1, 1923, in Norristown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Harry S. and Myrtle A. (Fulmer) Beideman Alderfer. She was a 1941 graduate of Norristown High School.
Mrs. Stehman was employed for 23 years with the former ARA Services of Conshohocken, PA, retiring as office manager.
A former member of the former Norristown Schwenkfelder Church, Mrs. Stehman was a member of the St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church of Audubon, PA. She was an animal lover and enjoyed gardening and quilting.
Surviving is a son, Brian Stehman and his wife, Elizabeth, of Macungie, PA; a daughter, Jill Genuardi and her husband, Jack, of Audubon, PA; four grandchildren, Brian, Elyse, Alexandra and Gina; and three great grandchildren, Zoe, Christian and Grant.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four siblings, Rodney and Donald Beideman, Valmai Watson Decker, and Janice Townsend.
Due to current restrictions on public gatherings, a private graveside service will take place for the immediate family at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens. A public memorial service will be announced when restrictions have been lifted. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the charity of the donor’s choice.
