Obituary of Joseph A. Price, III

Joseph A. Price, III, 75, of Blue Bell, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania surrounded by his loved ones. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Jenkinson) Price. Joe and Linda celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in November of last year.

 

Born June 3, 1944, in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph A. Price, Jr., and Mary Ellen (Murtha) Price. Joe was a proud veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a graduate of Roxborough High School and Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science. He worked for Spiegel for 12 years and PNC Bank for 40 years.

 

Joe was a member of Bethel Hill United Methodist Church. He was outgoing and friendly. He enjoyed socializing and cherished time spent with his family and friends, especially his four grandchildren. He loved watching Family Feud and was an avid Phillies and 76ers fan.

 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Michele O’Kane and her husband, Shawn, of Broomall, PA, and Kimberly Perkins and her husband, Shawn, of Blue Bell, PA. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Hannah, Jordyn, Camryn and Connor Perkins.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing from 9-10:45am on Friday, November 1, 2019, at R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 3440 Skippack Pike at Cedars Rd., Skippack, PA. Friends and family are then invited to attend his memorial service on Friday at 11:30am at Bethel Hill United Methodist Church, 2000 Bethel Road, Lansdale, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
