Robert J. “Bob” Barber, 66, of Ocean View, Delaware, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019. He was born June 12, 1953 in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, son of the late Ramon and Loretta (Forlini) Toledo.
Bob graduated from Duluth High school in Minnesota and lived in multiple states as an “Air Force brat.” He established and co-owned a successful remodeling company, Homestead Remodeling in Lansdale, Pennsylvania for thirty years.
Bob was a member of the Harleysville Rotary Club and was active in the men’s group at Branch Fellowship Church for many years. He resided in Harleysville, Pennsylvania until retiring to Ocean View, Delaware.
He loved sailing, boating, photography, golf and politics. His passion was singing vocals and playing guitar in the Millville Mountain Boys Band of Ocean View, Delaware.
He served on numerous BBHOA boards in Bethany Bay. He loved his family and especially his grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William Barber. He is survived by his wife Deb (Roberts) Barber; two sons, Matthew and his wife Brittany, of Collegeville, Pennsylvania, and Aaron and his wife Jenna, of Middletown, Delaware; six grandchildren: Evan, Lily, Aubrey, Elizabeth, Caroline, Samuel and one on the way. He is also survived by multiple brothers- in- law, sisters- in- law, nieces, nephews and many, many close friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at 11am on Saturday, September 14, 2019, at the R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 3440 Skippack Pike at Cedars Rd., Skippack, Pennsylvania, where family will receive friends from 10-10:45am. A second celebration of Bob’s life will be held the evening of September 21, 2019 at Bethany Bay Community Center in Ocean View, Delaware.
