Everett Kriebel, 84, of Worcester passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Mary Jane (Betz) Kriebel to whom he had been married for over 51 years.
Born January 13, 1935, in Worcester he was a son of the late Allen and Katie Schultz Kriebel.
Mr. Kriebel was a long time member of Central Schwenkfelder Church; he served as a trustee, usher, a member of the chancel choir and CEO of the Hot Dog Stand at the Schwenkfelder Country Fair each September. He was active in his community and a life member of the Worcester Volunteer Fire Department acting as assistant chief for several years.
In his younger days, he enjoyed playing softball and bowling in the church league.
His pride and joy were his 5 grandchildren whom he adored. He loved the outdoors, nature and his career of farming. He belonged to various organizations over the years including 4-H, DHIA- Dairy Herd Improvement Association and Farm Bureau.
Mr. Kriebel was a life-long resident of Worcester Township. He spent the entirety of his life on a part of the original 65 acre Kriebel Family Century Farm.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Steven Kriebel and his wife, Amy, of Green Lane, Jennifer Churches of Worcester; his sister Pauline Shearer; and his grandchildren, Tyler, Samantha and Brianna Kriebel and Braden and Madelyn Churches.
He was predeceased by his siblings Floyd Kriebel and Marie Kriebel.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at Central Schwenkfelder Church 2111 Valley Forge Rd. Lansdale, PA 19446 where friends may call for the viewing from 10-10:45 AM. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Worcester PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to either the Worcester Vol. Fire Department, P.O. Box 1, Worcester, PA 19490, or to Central Schwenkfelder Church at the address above.
