Thursday, April 4, 2019Dear Rachael, Marti and all the family. So very sorry for your loss. Thelma was a wonderful woman who was very carefree, a woman of many talents, loving, helpful and so much more. I really enjoyed our conversations and her company. Wish I would have known her longer. She was full of life and had a great sense of humor. Loved her with all my heart. She will live on in all my fond memories I have of her. My heart goes out to all of you in your time of sorrow. May God give you strength to carry on and give you peace. My sincere deepest sympathy to all of you. God Bless. Fondly, Linda Mohn.

Wednesday, April 3, 2019You don’t get to pick your in-laws but if I could have, I couldn’t have ever found a sweeter, kinder, more gracious mother-in-law than Thelma. When Jesus was asked how one could be great, he said it was by not caring about greatness but rather by being a caring servant. When his disciples kept children away from him, he chided them, saying these little ones have exactly the kind of spirit that builds the Kingdom of Heaven. As I think back over the privilege I had to know Thelma as my mother-in-law for 46 years, these are the thoughts that come to mind. In a culture that values power above meekness, personal agendas above human service, and biased influence above deep relationships, Thelma has exemplified the kind of salt and light that brought Jesus’ values to her world. We will miss you, Mom. And we pray we can carry on, sharing the kind of sweet grace you showed us.

Wednesday, April 3, 2019As much as this saddens my heart, I know Grammy is in heaven with Jesus & we will be reunited one day with her again. She was such a blessing to our family & I will never forget her & her kind, humble spirit! She was certainly one of a kind & I was blessed to have her in my life. Love you Grammy! Until we meet again....

Wednesday, April 3, 2019Mrs. Benner was a very dear, sweet lady I remember when I was growing up. She and my mother both taught children together at the church we went to. I have so many memories of her being a very kind person, one who loved children and didn't want to be in the lime light. She was a calm person and was very pleasant to be around. My heart goes out to her family, and my prayers are with them as they mourn this deep loss. I'm hoping she and Mom (who we lost just over three years ago) have found each other and are sharing great memories from those years of my early childhood when they worked together at church. I know she is very happy and enjoying a fully healed body and mind.

Wednesday, April 3, 2019Our prayers are with you all. I remember your mom as a sweet lady who loved people and - even more - loved Jesus. "Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the air. And so we shall always be with the Lord." [Paul's words of comfort in 1 Thessalonians 4:17]
