Harold R. Tripp, 91, of West Rockhill Twp., passed away Friday, March 29, 2019, at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Grace (Wiese) Tripp to whom he was married for over 67 years.
Born December 24, 1927, in Poplar Bluff Mo., he was a son of the late Martin and Marie (Reeder) Tripp.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Sandy Bernstiel, Harold “Buster” Tripp, Jr. and his wife, Karen, Melody Kohler and her husband, Dean, Robin Chinnici and her husband, James; his sisters, Darlene and Genevieve; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Harold cherished his family, hook, line, and sinker, as he was an avid fisherman.
Harold served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. After an honorable discharge as a Navy ship mechanic, he met and married his wife Grace in Detroit Michigan.
He started a small business digging basements which evolved into a very successful construction company. He moved his family east as his business grew, finally settling in Worcester, Pa. He was a member of the National Utility & Contractors Assoc. of PA.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 2 PM on Sunday, April 7, 2019, at the R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., Skippack Pike at Cedars Rd. Skippack, PA 19474, where the family will receive friends from 1-2 PM.
