Dr. George J. Capaldi, 82, of Schwenksville passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, December 22, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Louise (Eschbach) Capaldi to whom he was married for over 56 years.
Born January 1, 1936, in Philadelphia he was the son of the late William and Mary (Patrilak) Capaldi.
Dr. Capaldi was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Schwenksville, since 1997, and he served his country in the United States Army. After the service, Dr. Capaldi graduated from LaSalle University and Temple School of Dentistry. Dr. Capaldi was a dedicated general dentist and periodontist for over 54 years until his retirement from his practice in Ft. Washington in 2008. He was very dedicated to his work and taught at the Temple School of Dentistry in their crown and bridge department. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Laine Fountaine, Carla McWilliams, John G. Capaldi, Donna L. Soldano and her husband, Curtis, and Carrie Capaldi and her husband, George Pugnetti; his daughter in law Kelly Capaldi; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
He was predeceased by his son Robert M. Capaldi and his siblings William Jr., and Lucy Schickling.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 11 AM on Fri., Dec. 28, 2018, at St. Mary R.C. Church 40 Spring Mount Rd. Schwenksville, PA 19473, where friends may call for the viewing from 10-10:45 AM. Words of remembrance will precede the mass at 10:50 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.
