Obituary of Dr. Harry Borgersen

Dr. Harry J. Borgersen, 78, a resident of Towamencin Township, PA for the last 29 years, passed away October 28, 2018, at his home. He was the husband of Bonnie (Donley) Borgersen.

Born June 8, 1940, in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late Harry L. and Josephine (Lerro) Borgersen. He was a graduate of Central High School, Temple University, and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army. For over 40 years, Dr. Borgersen operated his family practice in Blue Bell, PA.

Dr. Borgersen was a long-time delegate and fleet surgeon of the Delaware River Yachtsmen’s League, and was also a member of the Bristol Yacht Club. He and his wife were a large part of feeding the masses at Bristol Yacht Club at the Poker Run. Doc was one who could capture your attention with his ability to speak on matters of health and the river. He was a good man and the league lost an asset when he stepped down due to health concerns.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother, Dr. Rudy Borgersen and his wife, Barbara; five sisters-in-law, Stella Siekierka, wife of the late Barry, Mary Tuturice and her husband, Joe, Doreen Coulter and her husband, Richard, Lois Dodd and her husband, Craig, and Rebecca Arnold and her husband, Ed; a brother-in-law, William Rennard and his wife, Tricia; and multiple nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Sally Waltman and her husband, Martin.

Family will receive friends at his viewings from 6-8PM on Friday, November 2, 2018 and from 10-10:45AM on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the R. L.
