Gregory L. Benner, 63, passed away at his Worcester, PA residence on Monday, October 8, 2018, after an illness. He and his wife, Marie (Firman) Benner, would have observed their 44th wedding anniversary on October 12th of this year.
Born August 1, 1955, in Upper Darby, PA, he was the son of the late Donald and Ruth (Tew) Benner. He was a 1973 graduate of Methacton High School.
Greg founded Precision Hydraulic Services Co. in 1988. He operated the business until he sold it in 2017. He was a life-long member of Wentz’s United Church of Christ. He enjoyed operating his coal stove and was happiest when he was mowing his lawn while wearing his headphones.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Dana Montieth and her husband, Brian, of Kimberton, PA; two granddaughters, Rylin and Brynn Montieth; and a sister, Cheryl Benner. He is also survived by aunts, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gregg Andrew Benner in 2013.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at 11:30AM on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 3440 Skippack Pike at Cedars Road, Skippack, PA, where family will receive friends beginning at 9:30AM. Burial will be private at Wentz’s U.C.C. Cemetery.
