Kathleen (Connell) Gomez, 58, of Lansdale, PA, formerly of Spring City, PA, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, October 7, 2018 at her residence. She and her husband, David L. Gomez, celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary on August 19th of this year.
Born April 28, 1960, in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late Gerald F. and Claire V. (Wilson) Connell. She grew up in Willow Grove, PA and was a 1978 graduate of Archbishop Wood High School. She received her bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and master’s degree in education from Chestnut Hill College. She had been employed with AmeriGas, Exelon, and most recently with CLEAResult.
Along with her husband, Kathleen spent the last fifteen years devoted to raising her children. She was committed to providing a strong and nurturing family life that was so important to her. Kathleen made it a point every day to say she loved her children and husband and taught them the importance of saying these words to each other. Kathleen was an avid reader and often spent hours engrossed in a book she just couldn’t put down. She enjoyed the challenge of playing “Word” on her phone, especially when she won against a formidable opponent. Those who knew Kathleen knew how much she loved to laugh. She enjoyed a good story and would laugh heartily each time it was retold. Her bellowing laugh will be missed.
Along with her husband, she is survived by three children, twins Elizabeth and Raymond (age 15), and William (age 14). She is also survived by nine siblings, Matthew Connell and his wife, Evelyn, of Brodheadsville, PA, Kevin Connell and his wife, Jill, of Seattle, WA, Rosemary Boyd and her husband, John, of Telford, PA, Sean Connell and his wife, Carol, of Hatboro, PA, Brian Connell and his wife, Bonnie, of Harmony, PA, Timothy Connell of New York, NY, Terrance Connell of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, a sister-in-law, Mary Connell of Langhorne, PA, Nora Connell of Ambler, PA, and Daniel Connell and his wife, Liz, of Southampton, PA.
