James D. Hill, 61, of Gilbertsville, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at Seasons Hospice in Phoenixville surrounded by his loved ones. He was the husband of Maria R. Angelucci.
Born in May of 1957 in Philadelphia he was a son of the late Harold Richard Hill and Melva (Rushton) Hill and was a graduate of Wissahickon High School. He was an electrician by trade and worked as a facilities manager for Ametek in Harleysville, PA.
Jim believed in the value of hard work and service to others. He was a lifetime member of the Harleysville Fire Company serving in many capacities, including Assistant Fire Chief. He was known for his willingness to help others in need. He was a devoted husband, father and pop pop and always believed life was better with a little more butter and bacon. He will be dearly missed.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his son Jonathan Hill and his wife, Breean, of Telford, his step-daughters Machele Nettles of Philadelphia, Malissa Nettles of Delray Beach, Fl.; his siblings, Harold Richard Hill, Jr. Janet Cervi; and his grandchildren, Sarah, Ava, Lila, and Lincoln.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 8, 2018, at the R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., Skippack Pike at Cedars Rd. Skippack, where the family will receive friends from 9-10:45 AM.
