Obituary of C. Willis "Jake" Heacock

C. Willis “Jake” Heacock, Jr. 91, of Telford, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at the Lutheran Community in Telford. He was the beloved husband of the late Doris Lorraine (Shedal) Heacock who passed away this past March.

Born February 6, 1927, in Skippack, Twp. he was a son of the late Charles Willis, Sr. and Elizabeth (Hallman) Heacock.       

Mr. Heacock was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church Ridge Valley, Pa.  He worked for the Perkiomen Valley School District in the Environmental Services Department, first at the old Skippack Elementary School, then at the PV Middle School before retiring in 1986.  He enjoyed gardening and upon his retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his wife around the country.  After moving to the Lutheran Community in Telford, he always looked forward to Saturday night BINGO.

He is survived by his daughter Kathleen Shaner and her husband, Donald, Jr. of Spring City; his siblings Edward Heacock and his wife, Pat, Robert Heacock, Jane Dahms; and his grandchildren Donald Shaner, III, and Jennifer Shaner.

In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his daughter Karen Heacock.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 11 AM on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at St. John’s Lutheran Church Ridge Valley, 910 Allentown Rd, Sellersville, PA 18960, where friends may call for the viewing from 10-11 AM. Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the St. John’s Memorial Fund at the address listed above.
