Harold (Armi) Herbert Armitage, Jr. 92, of North Wales, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018, at Manor Care Montgomeryville. He was the beloved husband of Nancy (Clydesdale) Armitage to whom he was married for over 67 years.
Born May 10, 1926, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Harold Herbert, Sr. and Elsie (Koerwer) Armitage.
Mr. Armitage served his country with the United States Navy during WWII. Harold was an avid Phillies fan. In addition, he was an expert woodcrafter, making many beautiful pieces of furniture for his family.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Carol Brown of Berlin, MD, David Armitage and his wife, Victoria, of Bristol, PA, Robin Moore and her husband, Edward, of Worcester, PA; his sister Nancy Conrad; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his daughter Lynne Sinclair and her husband, John and his son in law John Brown.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at 2 PM on Friday, June 15, 2018, at the R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. Skippack Pike at Cedars Rd. Skippack, where friends may greet the family from 1-2PM. Interment will be private for the family at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
