Obituary of Brett Grow

Brett Tyler Grow, 23, of Collegeville, passed away suddenly Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia after sustaining severe injuries in a motorcycle accident.

Born in Reading on November 9, 1994, Brett was the son of Dawn (Winn) DellaBarba and Nelson Grow. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his life companion Chewie; three siblings, Brandon Grow, Adrian Grow and Aubrey DellaBarba; great grandfather (Pop-Pop) Joseph Borrelli; grandparents Diane Frederick, Liz Grow, Clay and Helen Winn. He was preceded in death by his great grandmother (Nana) Peggy Borrelli and grandfather Joseph Grow, Jr.

Brett was a graduate of Perkiomen Valley High School and North Montco Vo-Tech School where he found a natural ability for welding.  He worked for various local welding companies.  Brett was known as a daredevil who would give you the shirt off his back with a warm heart.  He loved his brothers, sister, and Chewie more than words can say.

He enjoyed riding his quads, motorcycles and anything with wheels. He liked the outdoors: engaging in hunting, fishing, archery, snowboarding, skateboarding, disc golf and shooting.  Brett loved his coco puffs, mint chocolate chip Klondike bars, Coke, and pop tarts.  He could be found in the shed working on multiple projects or hiking on the trails with Chewie.  One thing Brett will be remembered for most was his thought-provoking and challenging conversations, in hope that you became a better person. Brett embodied the idea of helping others.

Losing a child is never easy as it is not supposed to go in that order. We are proud of the man he became and wish we would have had the opportunity to see him reach his full potential.  All the lives you have touched, you will be truly missed! Until we see you again.
