Obituary of D. Lorraine Heacock

D. Lorraine (Shedal) Heacock, 89, of Telford, passed away Monday, March 19, 2018, at the Lutheran Community at Telford. She was the beloved wife of C. Willis Heacock, Jr. to whom she was married to for over 62 years.

Born February 28, 1929, in Tylersport, she was a daughter of the late Margaret “Maggie” (Willauer) and Charles Shedal, Sr.

She worked for the Perkiomen Valley School District in the Food Service Department. Upon her retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her husband around the country. She also enjoyed playing the piano for the Sunday Church school at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ridge Valley.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter Kathleen Shaner and her husband, Donald, Jr. of Spring City; her siblings Roland Shedal and his wife, Dottie, Barbara Jandresevitz and her husband, John, Beatrice Bryant and her husband, Charles, and her two grandchildren Donald Shaner, III, and Jennifer Shaner.

Mrs. Heacock was predeceased by her daughter Karen Heacock, her sister Margaret “Peggy” Allison and her brother, Charles Shedal, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 11 AM on Thursday, March 22, 2018, in the Chapel at the Lutheran Community at Telford, 12 Lutheran Home Drive.  Family and friends may call for the viewing from 10-11 AM. Burial will be held on Friday, 10 AM, in the cemetery adjoining St. John’s Lutheran Church-Ridge Valley, 910 Allentown Rd., Sellersville. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to the Memorial Fund at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
