Elden W. Evans, Sr., 89, of Woxall, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Carol Ann (Edwards) Evans.
Born February 15, 1928, in Clementon, New Jersey, he was a son of the late Raymond A. and Edna May (Watson) Evans.
Mr. Evans was a founding member of Family Worship Center in Lansdale. He served his country as a member of the United States Navy during WWII. He was an avid hunter, and golfer. Mr. Evans enjoyed singing gospel music, and could always be found helping at church as an usher or greeter. He was a member of the Boulder Valley Sportsman Association, a representative of the United Bowhunters of Pennsylvania, and a member of Limerick Bowmen.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Elden W. Evans, Jr. and his wife, Annette, of Mays Landing, NJ, John Evans and his wife, Bette, of Woxall, Cyndi Yaeckel and her husband, Chad, of Gilbertsville, Clint Asbury and his wife, Donna, of Quakertown, Matt Evans and his wife, Nicole, of Cary, NC; Thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Raymond Evans, Howard Evans, Doris Gotell, Florence Thatcher, and Fayetta Smith.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 11 Am on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at the Family Worship Center; 1000 Troxel Rd, Lansdale, PA 19446; where friends may call for the viewing from 9:30-10:45 AM.
