Robert Norman Bean, 78, a resident of Royersford, PA for the last 22 years, passed away Wednesday evening, November 17, 2021. He and his wife, Joyce Lorraine (Jones) Bean, celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on October 19th of this year.
Born November 10, 1943, in Lansdale, PA, he was a son of the late Norman and Lucinda (Bishop) Bean. He was a 1962 graduate of Schwenksville High School.
Mr. Bean was employed with Palmer International for 38 years prior to retirement. He was a former long-time member of Lower Skippack Mennonite Church and more recently attended New Eden Fellowship in Schwenksville, PA. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, and playing cards. He also enjoyed drawing and painting. He could always be heard whistling and cherished time with his family.
Along with his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Deborah Warwick and her husband, Philip, of Telford, PA, Karen Nace and her husband, Thomas, of Royersford, PA, Bonnie Wise and her husband, Toby, of Royersford, PA, and Stephanie Lightcap and her husband, Ryan, of Gilbertsville, PA; and a sister, Carole Bossert of Perkiomenville, PA. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, Alan, Jonathon, Jeremy, Nicole, Gabrielle, Kaylee, Alexis, Sadie, Josephine and Rebecca; and seven great grandchildren, Mason, Jayley, Peyton, Benjamin, Ellee, Ariah and Dean.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Cody Bean; and two siblings, Joan Sproat and Edward Bean.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 11am on Monday, November 22, 2021, at the R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 3440 Skippack Pike at Cedars Road, Skippack, PA, where family will receive friends for his viewing from 10-10:45am. The family requests that masks be worn at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Lower Skippack Mennonite Church Cemetery.
