Monica (Radon) Rodgers, 91, of Harleysville, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at her residence. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold Stephen Rodgers who passed away in 2005.
Born May 1, 1930, in Irvington, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Genevieve (Martin) Radon.
Mrs. Rodgers was a long-time member of Saint Helena Catholic Church where she took part in many activities, one being a member of the choir. Monica enjoyed bowling on the teams of Oak Terrace and “The Whippers.” She was also known for making the most delicious chocolate chip cookies, and she was famous for her sumptuous Sunday dinners! Most of all, she loved her family, of which she was very, very proud.
She is survived by her children, Valerie Frederick and her husband, Richard, of Harleysville, PA, Monica D’Elia and her husband, Michael, of Hatfield, PA, Gary Harold Rodgers and his wife, Susan Kovach Rodgers, of Chalfont, PA, and Karen Tucker and her husband, Steven, of Alvarado, TX; her sister Valerie Chauvette; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at St. Helena Catholic Church, 1489 Dekalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA 19422, where friends may call for the viewing from 10-10:45 AM. Burial will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to St. Helena Catholic Church at the address above.
