James Howard Fahy, Jr., 90, of Limerick, PA, formerly of Parkesburg, PA, passed away Saturday morning, June 19, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wives, Jane (Craig) Fahy in 1986, and Susan (Mauer) Fahy in 2008.
Born December 25, 1930, in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late James H. Fahy, Sr. and Alice (Frening) Fahy. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He earned his B.S. in mechanical engineering from Drexel University.
Mr. Fahy was the owner of Starboard Enterprises, an engineering consulting firm in Coatesville, PA. He held seven patents in metal fabrication and was a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. His passion was sailing and enjoyed time spent on the water.
Surviving is a son, James H. Fahy, III and his wife, Janis Zimmerman-Fahy, of Schwenksville, PA; a grandson, Brian Fahy and his wife, Mallory, of Singapore; a sister, Charlotte Oschman and her husband, James, of West Chester, PA; and an “adopted” son, John Bodin of Ocean City, NJ. He is also survived by two great granddaughters; and by his beloved girlfriend, Lois “Angel” Bertram of Northbrook, IL.
In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Craig Fahy; a daughter, Valerie Gauker; a brother, Richard Fahy; and two grandchildren, Kathryn “Kaytie” Fahy and James “Jamie” Fahy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at 5pm on Friday, June 25, 2021, at R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 3440 Skippack Pike at Cedars Road, Skippack, PA, where family will receive friends from 4-5pm. A time of food and fellowship with the family will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to support a church mission trip regularly taken by his son and daughter-in-law, with checks made payable to Sanctuary United Methodist Church, 1346 E.
