Ruth Ellen Beyer, 92, a resident of Audubon, PA, for over 50 years, passed away on Sunday morning, October 25, 2020, at her daughter’s residence in Collegeville, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Beyer, on October 23, 2012.
Born April 15, 1928, in Greenwood, PA, she was a daughter of the late Stuart and Catherine (Shultz) Dreibelbis. She was a graduate of Millville High School and Thompson Business College. She was employed for many years at Valley Forge Medical Center of Norristown, PA.
Mrs. Beyer was an active member of St. Andrew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Audubon, PA, where she participated with the Quilting Club and Meals on Wheels. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed needlepoint, embroidery and attending flea markets. She was happiest when spending time with her family.
Surviving is her son, David E. Beyer and his wife, Colleen; her daughter, Patricia Moses; and her brother-in-law, Charles Litwhiler. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Steven Beyer and his wife, Natalie, Sara Beyer Schalk and her husband, Joey, Brian Moses and his wife, Alisha, and Michelle Moses and her husband, Bobby Kershner; and three great grandchildren: Waylon and Vida Beyer, and Lianna Moses.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Jean Litwhiler.
Family will receive friends for her viewing from 10-10:45am on Thursday, October 29, 2020, at R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 3440 Skippack Pike at Cedars Road, Skippack, PA, with the public funeral service beginning at 11am. Please wear a mask and be prepared to practice social distancing.
