William E. Adams, Jr., 79, formerly of Huntingdon Valley, PA, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020, at Meadowood Senior Living in Worcester, PA, where he had resided for over two years. He and his wife, Carole Marie (Schag) Adams, would have observed their 55th wedding anniversary on October 2nd of this year.
Born March 21, 1940, in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late William E. Adams, Sr. and Margaret Agatha (Corcoran) Adams. He graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School and received his B.S. in Business from La Salle College. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.
Mr. Adams was a self-employed computer analyst for many years prior to retirement. He had formerly been an active member of St. Albert the Great Parish in Huntingdon Valley, PA. He enjoyed trips to the casinos and horseracing. His greatest love was for his family and he cherished time spent with his beloved grandchildren, especially those days spent miniature golfing and spoiling the grandchildren on the boardwalk in Ocean City, NJ!
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, William J. Adams and his wife, Margaret, of Boston, MA; two daughters, Carolyn R. Schall and her husband, Eugene, of Harleysville, PA, and Jennifer A. Phillips and her husband, Chris, of Skippack, PA; a sister, Margaret Carney of Paoli; 11 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Brickley, and by a granddaughter, Kristen Schall.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass at 10am on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, PA, where family will receive friends from 9-9:45am. Burial will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org. Arrangements are by R. L.
