LaVerne M. Scheetz

LaVerne (Mulitsch) Scheetz, 73, passed away Thursday morning, April 11, 2019, at home in Towamencin, PA. She and her husband, Vincent R. Scheetz, observed their 52nd wedding anniversary on March 4th of this year. Prior to moving to Towamencin, PA in 1980, they had resided in Lansdale, PA.


Born May 31, 1945, in Easton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Mary (Tucker) Mulitsch and was a 1963 graduate of Notre Dame High School. She then earned her B.A. from Arcadia University.


LaVerne was the founder of LMS Interiors and Interior Health Solutions. She later founded Sincerely Sent, an affiliate of Send Out Cards.


A woman of great faith, LaVerne was an active member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lansdale, PA, where she served on the Liturgy Committee and as a Eucharistic Minister. She took part in many activities at the church.


LaVerne was a proud member of Harleysville Rotary Club where she was a Paul Harris Fellow and a member of the Paul Harris Society. She served as president of the club during the 2011-2012 Rotary year. She was also a member of the Women’s Referral Network and Business Network International. She loved spending time with her family and hosting family gatherings. Her hobbies included baking, cooking and listening to classical music.


In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Kevin Scheetz of Canton, MI; and Erik Scheetz and his wife, Bridget, of Lansdale, PA; and four grandchildren, Brandon, Christina, Tyler and Nicholas.


She was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Mulitsch.


Family will receive family and friends for her viewing from 6-8PM on Sunday, April 14, 2019, at the R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 3440 Skippack Pike at Cedars Rd., Skippack PA. Another viewing will take place from 10-10:45AM on Monday, April 15, 2019 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446, with the funeral mass beginning at 11AM. Burial will follow privately at Holy Savior Cemetery in Bethlehem, PA.
