Michael C. Troemel, 53, passed away peacefully at his home in Worcester, PA, on April 5, 2019, after a long illness. He and his wife, Nancy (Bonifazi) Troemel, celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary on October 28th of last year.
Born May 22, 1965, in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of Martha (Beyer) Troemel of Lansdale, PA, and the late Eugene H. Troemel. He was a 1983 graduate of North Penn High School and then received a degree in economics from Ursinus College. He played baseball through elementary school, high school and college.
He enjoyed participating in sports of all kinds including basketball, league softball and golf.He coached Methacton Youth Baseball, Basketball and Soccer, earning championship titles in each sport. He was a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, Flyers and Sixers fan. He loved spending time with friends and family out on the golf course, hunting in the Pocono Mountains, vacationing in Kennebunkport, Maine and Ocean City, Wildwood Crest, Cape May, NJ.His other hobbies included cooking and music. He was a true inspirational presence in the lives of many and will be dearly missed.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two children, Christopher M. and Anna C. Troemel, both at home; two siblings, David R. Eveland of Downingtown, PA, and Carroll-Anne Cullen and her husband, John, of Franconia, PA; his mother-in-law, Eleanor (Balas) Bonifazi of Worcester, PA; and his brother-in-law, Perry M. Bonifazi of Downingtown, PA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Robert Troemel and wife Nicole, Kevin Troemel and wife Shasta, Erynn Eveland, Kyle Cullen, Isabella Eveland, and Shawna Dixon; and great nieces, Gianna and Sophia Troemel.
Along with his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert J. Troemel; and his father-in-law, Joseph B. Bonifazi.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, April 13, 2019, from 9-11:45 AM at the R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 3440 Skippack Pike at Cedars Rd., Skippack, PA. The memorial service will then begin at 12 Noon. Interment will be private.
