Arthur H. Kavanaugh, 67, of Worcester, entered into rest Saturday, March 30, 2019, at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. He was the husband of Deborah (Schafer) Kavanaugh to whom he was married 12 days shy of 32 years.
Born May 1, 1951, in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Michael and Clara (Wiseman) Kavanaugh.
Arthur grew up in Philadelphia and attended Kinsey Elementary School. He went on to Olney High School and then his beloved Penn State. In 1972 he graduated from PSU with a bachelor’s degree in Education and began substitute teaching. In the mid-1970’s he landed a full-time position at the Wissahickon School District teaching US history.
