Carol L. George Erichson

Carol L. (Williams) George Erichson, 75, of Harleysville, PA, formerly of Lansdale, PA, passed away November 20, 2017 at Peter Becker Community. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Nicholas A. George, in 1980, and by her second husband, Thomas D. Erichson, in 2014.


Born December 25, 1941 in Scranton, PA, she was a daughter of the late Pearl (Singer) Williams Perry and Hollis Thomas Williams. She was a 1959 graduate of Clarks Summit – Abington High School where she was an outstanding athlete in field hockey and basketball. She also attended West Chester State Teachers College where she started as a freshman on the varsity field hockey team and earned All-American honors.        


For most of her career, Carol worked in the jewelry business and was employed by WJM Associates as a buyer.  She was later employed as a buyer for Lizell Office Furniture. During retirement, Carol spent several years living at her home at Lake Winola, PA, enjoying all aspects of the lake life. Carol was an avid skier, loved to play board games with her family, and appreciated the challenge of a good puzzle.


Carol will most be remembered for her remarkable dedication to her family.  She was strong, graceful, beautiful; a true survivor who was an inspiration in the lives of her children and grandchildren.


Surviving are two daughters, Kimberly George Thomas and her husband, Mark, of Hatfield, PA, and Amy Lynn Ciaccia  and her husband, John, of Pfafftown, NC; a son, Christopher Williams George and his husband, Friedrich Kreuch, of Littleton, CO; and six grandchildren, Anthony,  Alexia, Nicholas, and Andrew Ciaccia, and Kathryn and Zachary Thomas. She is also survived by a sister, Holly A. Pittluck of Pacific Palisades, CA; and a brother, Richard L. Williams of Clarks Green, PA.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at 11AM on Saturday, November 25, at the R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 3440 Skippack Pike at Cedars Rd., Skippack, PA, where family will receive friends from 10-10:45AM. Interment will be private.
