|William D. “Wynn” Angstadt, Jr., 77, passed away suddenly on April 28, 2013. A resident of Skippack for the last 9 years, he had formerly resided in Worcester for 30 years. He and his wife, Carole M. (Ahonen) Angstadt, observed their 55th wedding anniversary on November 7th of last year.
Born January 3, 1936 in Norristown, he was a son of the late William D. Angstadt, Sr., and Catherine (Gehris) Angstadt, and graduated from Norristown High School in 1953. He served in the U. S. Army in the 529th Military Police Company as an honor guard in Heidelberg, Germany.
Mr. Angstadt was employed with Bell Telephone Co. in various positions, retiring from there in 1991 after 38 years. He then worked for another 10 years at the Verizon Valley Forge Training Center as an installation and repair instructor. Following retirement, he enjoyed travel, golf, woodworking, painting, bocce, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchild.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Kimberly Ostroski and her husband, David, of Ocean View, DE, Scott Angstadt and his wife, Jennifer, of Schwenksville, Kris Angstadt and his wife, Sharon, of West Chester, and Jennean Heimbach and her husband, Robert, of Perkiomenville; a sister, Mary Jane Dubree; 10 grandchildren; and a great grandchild.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family from 9-11AM on Thurs., May 2, at the R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 3440 Skippack Pike @ Cedars Rd., Skippack.
