Walter McIntyre, 91, of Pottstown passed away Monday, January 15, 2018, at Sanatoga Court in Pottstown. He was the beloved husband of Elaine (Weikel) McIntyre to whom he was married for over 72 years.
Born December 18, 1926, in Norristown he was the son of Walter and Edna (Buler) McIntyre.
Mr. McIntyre worked for the former Alan Wood Steel Company, Handy and Harmon Tube Company, and Safeguard Business Systems. He enjoyed watching all sports on television, especially the Eagles, and Phillies. He loved family outing spending time with his family and trips to Myrtle Beach with his friends. The family would also like to thank the staff of Compassus Hospice and Sanatoga Court.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children John Walter McIntyre of Lansdale, and Dawn Elaine Wacker and her husband William of Lederach. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mr. McIntyre was predeceased by his daughter Linda Leigh McIntyre; and his siblings, Edwin Buler, Harry McIntyre, Mildred Mitchel, and his sister Sara.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at 10:30 AM on February 1, 2018, at the R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. Skippack Pike at Cedars Rd.
