Tuesday, January 2, 2018My most vivid memories of aunt Josephine date back to the 1940's when she was a teenager and was assigned to watch over my brother Steve and me during summers at "grandmom's house". Since she and I were only eight years apart, she was more like a big sister. She was tough, assertive, unafraid and very protective. She certainly saved my life from the teenage boys who used to hang out on Violet street. They constantly harassed me and I returned the favor. Occasionally things would get out of hand and Aunt Josephine would always come to the rescue. These are the qualities she later exhibited as a wife and Mother. She always seemed confident and never made excuses. She was a liberated woman long before the women's movement. She was an important person in my life. We will all miss her. Nick Volpicelli

Friday, December 29, 2017We live at 407 E. Fornance Street and have been neighbors of Josephine for close to fifteen years. We often had conversations about her grandchildren and how she enjoyed gardening. When my son passed away a number of years ago she was very conciliatory and even sat with me at his Memorial Service. Her kindness will be long remembered and she will be missed in the neighborhood. Sincerely, Cathy and Frank Errington

Friday, December 29, 2017I am so very sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one in death is such a difficult thing to experience. Please be comforted by the promises in the Bible. Jesus tells us at John 5:28, 29 that all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out. What a loving provision put in place by the God of all comfort so we can have the assured hope of seeing our dead loved ones live again one day. Meanwhile as I pray for that day to come I ask Jehovah God to bless your family and give each of you the strength to endure this most trying time.
